I'm always interested in discussing and learning more and exchanging information on outreach in general... I'd love to be a part of discussions on outreach to patrons for whom English is not a first language as well.

I want to hear about how libraries are addressing the need for eBooks. Patrons want them, but there are so many problems with libraries purchasing them for loan. I don't even know what all the issues are! I just want to understand what's happening. - Melissa Kiser

We are addressing this through Overdrive in the coming years, but we see this as a stopgap solution, and are watching how the market is shaking out. It's all about the consumer and making the early profit on the early adopters. Interested in this as well.

Let's talk about eBooks and eReaders! We're already going to have a PechaKucha and an eReader Fair at Library Camp this year... let's sit down and figure this out! - Melissa Kiser

I will be teaching a community class on ebooks in two weeks, so this is going to be my reseach prep. Color me motivated.

We're curious as to how to get customers in the door... people still think we're just a place for books!

We were talking about this today. Not getting them in the door per se, but offering activities for communities that are interested in something very specific.

Positive integration of technology as a way to enhance YS programming. Figuring out how to integrate it smoothly and not see it as a nuisance to avoid.

Why are we still buying music CDs??? Thanks to Jody Delagardelle for posting this article on FB: "Music in Libraries: We’re Doing It Wrong" by Librarian in Black. http://librarianinblack.net/librarianinblack/2010/09/music-in-libraries-were-doing-it-wrong.html
